US Election Night: The Rest Is Politics Brings Global Live Broadcast to Viewers

On November 5th, the popular podcast The Rest Is Politics will host a special live broadcast from Spotify’s Podcast Studios in New York City, offering real-time coverage and analysis of the U.S. Presidential Election. With streaming exclusively on YouTube, the broadcast will feature a comprehensive lineup of Goalhanger’s prominent hosts, including Alastair Campbell, Rory Stewart, Anthony Scaramucci, Marina Hyde, and Dominic Sandbrook.

Campbell and Stewart, co-hosts of The Rest Is Politics, will lead the overnight coverage, providing expert insights into the evolving election results. They’ll be joined by Scaramucci, co-host of The Rest Is Politics: US, who brings extensive knowledge of American politics and a close perspective on Republican Party dynamics. The three hosts will anchor the coverage from the main desk, supported by a rotating panel of guest commentators to enrich the analysis throughout the night.

Joining the team will be The Rest Is Entertainment co-host and Guardian journalist Marina Hyde, who will track social media responses and provide additional analysis. Historian and co-host of The Rest Is History, Dominic Sandbrook, will offer context by exploring over 200 years of American political history, adding a deeper perspective on current developments.

The live event marks Goalhanger’s partnership with Dizplai, a media experience company known for collaborations with major broadcasters, to enhance viewer interaction. Through this collaboration, Dizplai will support live data integration and audience engagement, enabling real-time questions, insights, and comments from viewers worldwide as election updates unfold.

The live coverage begins at 8:00 p.m. UK time (3:00 p.m. ET) and will continue through the night, with sessions extending into the early hours and wrapping up the following evening as final results and reactions are confirmed.
