Ukraine’s EV Charging Experiences Enhanced by Parkopedia, AWT Bavaria, and BMW AG

London, UK / Kyiv, Ukraine – Parkopedia, a leading connected car services provider, in partnership with AWT Bavaria Ukraine and BMW AG, has successfully integrated 4,272 Ukrainian charging points into selected BMW models and the MyBMW app. This collaboration aims to enhance the driving and charging experience for BMW electric vehicle (EV) drivers in Ukraine.

AWT Bavaria Ukraine, the official importer for the BMW Group in Ukraine, and Parkopedia are committed to providing the best possible convenience for EV drivers in the second-largest country in Europe. The addition of accurate and comprehensive charge point information in Ukraine plays a crucial role in promoting the transition to EVs in this important emerging market.

This new integration allows EV drivers to easily locate the nearest charging stations on their desired routes and select their preferred charging providers through their vehicles and the MyBMW app. This feature provides drivers with essential information on the exact location and features of the charging station, as well as the availability of free chargers, saving them time and reducing any associated charging anxiety.

With the increasing demand for EVs in developed markets, emerging markets such as Ukraine have also witnessed significant growth rates. Parkopedia is dedicated to supporting BMW AG and AWT Bavaria Ukraine in expanding charging coverage in emerging markets through its global EV Charging product.

Markus Dohl, VP of Sales Europe at Parkopedia, emphasized the value of this partnership, stating: “This latest collaboration demonstrates our ongoing efforts to enable EV drivers to easily locate and navigate to their desired charging locations around the world. Access to in-car EV charging data is crucial in emerging EV markets, and this partnership is instrumental in promoting the uptake of EVs in Ukraine. We are honoured to provide this service in the country, which would not have been possible without the cooperation of our local CPO partners.”

Erik Berning, CEO of AWT Bavaria, added: “At AWT Bavaria, we are committed to providing our customers with the best driving experience possible. This partnership with Parkopedia is a significant step in that direction. By expanding access to charging stations and providing relevant information, we are making electric car ownership even more convenient and affordable. Such collaborations are essential in promoting environmentally friendly mobility in Ukraine and improving the overall experience of using electric vehicles.”

This new service is powered by innovative CPO partners, including YASNO E-Mobility, TOKA, Ecofactor (including the local IONITY network), and GO TO-U, who have previously collaborated with Parkopedia on other EV charging services.
