Goalhanger and Dizplai have announced their partnership to bring a one-of-a-kind, interactive and real-time broadcast of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election on November 5th. The event, titled “America Decides,” will be hosted by the popular political podcast, The Rest Is Politics, and will feature a unique lineup of Goalhanger hosts, including Alastair Campbell, Rory Stewart, Anthony Scaramucci, Marina Hyde, and Dominic Sandbrook.
The broadcast will begin in the evening and continue through the night, exclusively streaming on YouTube. Viewers can expect in-depth analysis and commentary as the election results are revealed, with a groundbreaking all-night live feed being broadcasted worldwide. The event will take place at the Spotify Podcast Studios in NYC.
The Rest Is Politics hosts, Campbell and Stewart, will lead the election coverage, offering expert analysis of data and results. They will be joined by Scaramucci, co-host of The Rest Is Politics: US, who brings insider access and extensive knowledge of American politics. The main desk will also feature rotating guest chairs with additional expert commentary throughout the broadcast.
Award-winning Guardian journalist and co-host of The Rest Is Entertainment, Hyde, will provide additional analysis and reactions from social media throughout the evening. Meanwhile, The Rest Is History co-host Sandbrook will offer historical context and insights into the election by exploring over 200 years of American history.
This event is made possible by Goalhanger’s partnership with Dizplai, a media experience company known for their work with major broadcasters such as Sky, TNT, and NBC. With their expertise, Dizplai will elevate the audience experience and allow The Rest Is Politics team to engage with viewers throughout the night, providing real-time news and insights.
The announcement comes after The Rest Is Politics: US reported record downloads and full episode views on YouTube, with over 19.5 million recorded between June and August. This success follows Campbell and Stewart’s previous roles as election presenters on Channel 4 for the UK General Election coverage.

The event will be divided into three live streams, with the first, “America Decides,” airing on November 5th from 8pm-12am (UK) / 3pm-7pm (ET). The second, “Where Are We Now?,” will air on November 6th from 5am-9am (UK) / midnight-4am (ET). The final live stream, “The Next President of the United States,” will air on November 6th from 7pm-8:30pm (UK) / 2pm-3:30pm (ET).
