With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, many Brits are seeking alternatives to the traditional dinner date. To inspire couples looking for a memorable experience, Turo has unveiled its selection of the most romantic drives in the UK.
A recent YouGov survey found that in 2024, only 6% of Brits chose to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a restaurant meal*, indicating a shift towards more adventurous and meaningful experiences. In light of this, Turo has curated a list of stunning routes for a perfect romantic road trip.
Cotswolds Drive
Leading the list is the Cotswolds, famed for its postcard-perfect landscapes. With rolling hills, charming stone cottages, and historic villages, the region offers a romantic setting reminiscent of classic love stories. It has even featured in popular films, such as Bridget Jones’s Diary, which was shot in the picturesque village of Snowshill.

- Broadway Tower: Perched over the Cotswolds villages, this historic landmark offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, including the Malvern Hills.
- Broadway Village: A perfect place to take a romantic stroll and explore boutique shops and cosy tea rooms.
- Chastleton House: Managed by the National Trust, this Jacobean manor is an enchanting stop for history lovers.
- Daylesford Organic Farm: Stop here for gourmet produce, artisanal baked goods, and even romantic picnic supplies to pack in the car. If the weather is good, there are various spots with beautiful views to park the car and enjoy your picnic.
