Top offers on school attire for the upcoming academic season

Back-to-school season can be a financial burden for families, especially for those with multiple children. In order to make the most of their money, it is wise to start shopping early. As the new academic year approaches in September, we have compiled a list of the best deals and discounts on school uniforms.

Aldi, for the third consecutive year, is offering their back-to-school bundle for only £5 for children aged 4-12. This includes two polo shirts, one sweatshirt or cardigan, and a choice of trousers, skirt, or cargo shorts. Additionally, the supermarket is offering leather school shoes for only £6.99 and cardigans for £1.50. Customers can also take advantage of Aldi’s Specialbuys deal, which features unique products launched every Thursday and Sunday.

Lidl is matching Aldi’s price, offering a complete set for children aged 4-12 for only £5 in stores, while supplies last. In addition to school uniforms, Lidl is also selling a variety of stationery items such as notebooks and markers.

Marks & Spencer is currently offering 20% off their new school uniform collection to help parents prepare for the upcoming school year. However, this discount excludes footwear, hosiery, underwear, outerwear, accessories, school bags, and lunch boxes.

John Lewis is maintaining frozen prices on school uniforms for the fourth year in a row and providing parents with an online checklist to help them prepare for the new school year. The department store also offers a free shoe-fitting service and has not increased the prices on any new school uniform products released in the past three years. According to Cydney Ball, John Lewis’ school uniform buyer, their customers trust them as the go-to destination for all things back-to-school.

Clarks is also keeping their school shoe prices at 2023 levels and reducing the price of one-third of their new back-to-school collection. Parents can also take advantage of a £10 discount on children’s trainers when purchasing school shoes in black. Furthermore, Clarks is offering a “fit guarantee” where if a child outgrows their school shoes within three months of their in-store fitting, they can exchange them for a new pair at no additional cost.

Asda is currently offering a £5 discount when customers spend £25 or more and scan a coupon in their app. This offer expires at 11:59pm on 14 July, so time is of the essence for those wishing to take advantage.
