On Thursday 14 September, the British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) will be hosting its largest National Careers Fair in Tidworth, Wiltshire. Now in its 12th year, this event is aimed at connecting military service leavers with potential employers in the civilian world.
Over 100 exhibitors, from various sectors, will be attending the event, held at the Tidworth Leisure Centre. This year’s event is sponsored by AIS Survivex, part of the 3t Energy Group, who provide exemplary training in the wind, offshore, construction and energy sectors.
The BFRS Fair promises to provide attendees with the necessary tools for a successful transition into civilian careers. Attending companies have the chance to meet with service personnel and network with like-minded individuals. There will also be expert HR teams, career coaches and mentors on hand to help with any challenges.
Harry Dean, founder and CEO of BFRS, commented: “The Tidworth event is by far the largest and most successful of our annual event programme, it provides the Armed Forces Community access to over 100 exhibitors who represent a wide range of commercial sectors, they not only offer employment opportunities/training/support, but importantly many are able to offer advice from their own military to civilian transitional experiences.”
The day before the event, Wednesday 13 September, BFRS are also running a CV writing and interview skills workshop, ideal for those new to creating a CV or needing a refresher.
