Third season of Manchester Airport podcast now available

Manchester Airport has announced the return of its popular podcast, “Manchester: Your Airport, MAN” for its third season. The series, hosted by former BBC Chief Sports Writer and That Peter Crouch Podcast host Tom Fordyce, will give listeners an inside look at the airport’s latest developments and feature special guests from the travel industry.

The first episode, now available to stream and download, focuses on the launch of Virgin Atlantic’s new route to Las Vegas. Guests on the show include popular travel influencers Ryan and Jade, known as Live The Dash, who share their experience on the inaugural flight which included a surprise appearance by airline mogul Sir Richard Branson.

Other guests on the show include Manchester Airport’s Managing Director Chris Woodroofe, who will provide updates on the airport’s preparations for the busy summer season, and Virgin Atlantic’s Head of Network John Parton, who will discuss the efforts that went into bringing back the direct flight to Las Vegas from Manchester.

The podcast has gained a following of almost 10,000 listeners with its first two series and was even nominated for an award in the ‘Audio’ category at this year’s Prolific North Creative Awards.

Upcoming episodes will cover a range of topics, from travel tips for families during the summer holidays to exclusive updates on the airport’s Terminal Two transformation. The podcast will also explore the impact of the recent General Election on the travel and aviation industries.

The podcast is a collaboration between Manchester Airport and Manchester-based Crowd Network, one of the UK’s fastest growing podcast networks. Crowd Network is known for producing hit podcasts such as Geraint Thomas Cycling Club and Joe Marler’s Things People Do.

The podcast can be streamed on popular platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Podcasts, with a total of six episodes to be released throughout the summer.

Manchester Airport is the largest UK airport outside London, with over 200 destinations served by more than 50 airlines. It is owned and operated by MAG, the UK’s largest independent airport operator, which also owns and operates London Stansted and East Midlands airports.
