Pandovisia, a pioneering net art band, has announced the release of their highly anticipated EP, “Uncanny Valley Social Club”. The EP captures a portion of the band’s controversial live performance at the 2024 World Economic Forum.
The band was invited by the organisers of an artificial intelligence panel to showcase their innovative use of AI and IOT technology, and to debut new songs at an exclusive afterparty event. The performance received a mix of reactions, with some praising it as a bold exploration of the relationship between corporate autocracy, AI, and art, while others found it to be subversive and divisive.
However, the controversy did not end there. In the aftermath of the gig, the organisers confirmed that Pandovisia has been banned from appearing at any future trade, corporate, or political events. Despite this, fans can now experience a portion of the banned concert on all major streaming platforms.
The EP, which features four original songs, is said to be some of the last works written by human hands, much like this press release. In a statement, the band expressed their belief that “everybody lies” and invited fans to visit their website, pandovisia.com, for more disinformation.
The “Uncanny Valley Social Club” EP marks the final chapter of Pandovisia’s long-running Disinformation Tour post-truth project. The band’s unique blend of Serbian prog, net art, and pop has gained them a dedicated fanbase and solidified their place in the music industry.
