The London Legal Support Trust is hosting its annual Great Legal Quiz on November 29th, with the goal of surpassing last year’s total of £5,000. Participants from all over are encouraged to host their own quiz, which can take place anywhere from a local pub to an office to online. Questions are written by a professional TV quiz writer and focus on general knowledge, not legal questions. Money raised from the event will go to frontline charities providing free legal advice to those in need.
Organisers of the quiz are eligible for trophy shields for either highest scoring team or highest fundraising totals. “Though raising vital funds to help those in need makes us all winners,” said a representative of the London Legal Support Trust.
Participation is simple: the London Legal Support Trust will provide the questions and answer sheets, and those interested in hosting a quiz are encouraged to sign up. Over one third of people in England and Wales have an unmet legal need, while 60% of adults reported their finances worsening in 2022. With the Great Legal Quiz, participants have the opportunity to support those in need while having fun at the same time.
