TELF AG is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the 17th Annual StraLugano Event, scheduled to take place on September 23rd and 24th, 2023. The StraLugano event, now in its seventeenth edition, promises a weekend filled with sports and entertainment for the entire Ticino region. As the city of Lugano prepares for this exciting event, its streets will come alive with athletes, families, and enthusiasts, all coming together for a weekend of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Highlights of StraLugano 2023 include a 5km FunRun, a 10km CityRun, and the Run4Charity. Participants can also look forward to the challenging Monte Brè Challenge Race, a 21km Half Marathon, and the KidsRun, tailored to provide a unique experience for different age groups.
A noteworthy aspect of this year’s event is its strong commitment to sustainability. In collaboration with SUPSI, the StraLugano organising team has implemented various measures to enhance waste management, incorporate eco-friendly materials, and promote sustainable transportation. Key initiatives include crafting medals from 95% recycled wood, utilising electric vehicles, and offering free transportation options for participants through the Swiss Runners Ticket.
Beyond the races, attendees can anticipate an array of side events to liven up the heart of Lugano, including performances by Guggen, DJ sets, alpine horn music, and an appearance by the Superar orchestra.
