All remaining Ted Baker stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland are set to permanently close their doors by the end of the day on Tuesday. This news follows the revelation by Sky News on Sunday that negotiations between Frasers Group, owned by retail tycoon Mike Ashley, and Authentic, the company that holds Ted Baker’s intellectual property, had come to a halt. The talks had been ongoing for three months, with an agreement seemingly within reach. As a result of the store closures, over 500 jobs in the UK and 78 in Ireland are at risk.

[insert store locations here]This decision comes after No Ordinary Designer Label (NODL), the company responsible for Ted Baker’s UK stores, went into administration in March. The administrators of NODL are overseeing the shutdown of the remaining 31 Ted Baker branches.
Earlier this year, Ted Baker closed 15 stores, resulting in the loss of approximately 245 jobs. The closure of these additional stores will further impact the company’s workforce.
The reasons behind the breakdown of negotiations between Frasers Group and Authentic are not yet clear. However, the closure of all remaining Ted Baker stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland is a significant blow to the brand and its employees.
