“Sustainable Development Success: Mobilityways Honored with Consecutive Royal Award”

Mobilityways, a leading specialist in reducing commuter emissions, has been honored with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. The company was recognized for its commitment to zero carbon commuting and its innovative climate tech solutions that enable employers to address and find solutions to commuting challenges.

Out of 252 organizations across the nation, Mobilityways was chosen to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise, which was announced on Monday, May 6, 2024. This award is a testament to the company’s excellence in sustainable development and its dedication to revolutionizing the way people commute. Mobilityways is the only software solution dedicated to decarbonizing the commute, making it a unique and valuable asset in the fight against climate change.

This is not the first time Mobilityways has been recognized for its outstanding efforts. In 2019, the company received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development. As a recipient of this award, Mobilityways has earned the right to use the Queen’s/King’s Award emblem for five years. With the recent King’s Award win, the company can continue using this emblem for an additional five years, solidifying its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Mobilityways, formerly known as Liftshare, was founded in 1998 and currently employs 40 people. The company’s suite of climate-tech solutions enables large employers to measure, reduce, and report their commuter emissions. By partnering with Mobilityways, these employers can make a tangible impact on reducing their carbon footprint and promoting sustainable commuting practices.

Julie Furnell, Managing Director of Mobilityways, expressed her gratitude upon receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development. She stated, “It is a true honor to be recognized with a King’s Award for Enterprise. This award is a testament to our relentless dedication to revolutionizing commuting and promoting sustainability. At Mobilityways, we are not only creating innovative climate tech solutions, but also influencing how people can travel more sustainably. This recognition underscores our commitment to partnering with large employers to make a tangible impact on decarbonizing the commute.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II by recognizing outstanding UK businesses. This prestigious business award, now in its 58th year, allows successful businesses to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years. Applications for the King’s Awards for Enterprise 2025 will open on His Majesty The King’s Coronation on May 6, 2024. For more information, visit https://www.gov.uk/kingsawards-for-enterprise.
