Star Micronics, a prominent provider of international POS hardware solutions, is excited to announce the official launch of its managed Cloud service, StarPrinter.Online. This innovative service empowers businesses to perform direct printing from a web server, web page, web client app/PWA, native app, or even via email. Additionally, it offers comprehensive device management for the entire POS printer fleet.
In the quest to deliver a seamless customer ordering experience, reliability, flexibility, and scalability of in-store and in-house technology are paramount. Recognising this, Star has introduced StarPrinter.Online, compatible with Star’s range of CloudPRNT™ printers. This service facilitates the rapid connection of receipt, label, or order printers to online ordering systems, enabling businesses to receive and manage orders seamlessly. With no limitations imposed by cabling, local networks, or Bluetooth ranges, StarPrinter.Online serves as a centralised hub for receiving and managing orders from customers using various devices in any location with internet access.
Furthermore, the service enhances online visibility by offering device management through an intuitive online dashboard. This dashboard provides an overview of all devices and activities, including reliable tracking of print jobs, notifications of device status changes, barcode scans, new device connections to a group, and more. The service’s versatility is further highlighted by its ability to effortlessly incorporate additional printers and peripherals without necessitating server upgrades.
StarPrinter.Online has undergone a successful beta phase with a diverse range of retail and hospitality customers. Now, it is officially live with an easy-to-use portal and sign-up process. New customers can take advantage of a free trial version and include printers in a staging environment, if required, before going fully live.
