Special gym deals for individuals impacted by MS, Parkinson’s, and strokes

Chilterns Neuro Centre Partners with Local Gyms to Provide Out-of-Hours Support for MS, Parkinson’s, and Stroke Patients

The Chilterns Neuro Centre, a leading facility for neurological conditions, is pleased to announce its recent partnerships with three local gyms to offer additional support to individuals affected by MS, Parkinson’s, and strokes. These partnerships with the Gym at Halton, Tring Sports Centre, and Prestwood Gym and Fitness Centre aim to provide out-of-hours exercise options for those who may not be able to attend the Centre’s regular classes.

Regular exercise is crucial for maintaining overall health, but it is especially important for individuals with neurological conditions. Early intervention, including exercise, can help slow down the progression of these conditions. While the Centre currently offers a comprehensive exercise program, it may not always be accessible to those who are still working. These new partnerships, along with others in the works, will allow members of the Centre to access out-of-hours classes at discounted rates.

Joe Harman, Exercise Lead and Musculoskeletal Therapist at the Chilterns Neuro Centre, emphasizes the importance of exercise for individuals with neuro conditions. He explains, “To have access to facilities that are not defined by a person’s diagnosis can make a huge difference in how our members feel and whether they engage in exercise. Regular exercise can help maintain independence, strength, and function for people with neurological conditions and can also help them positively manage and cope with their condition’s progression.”

Individuals with MS, Parkinson’s, or who have experienced a stroke and believe they could benefit from these services are encouraged to contact the Chilterns Neuro Centre by calling 01296 696133. The Centre is committed to providing the best possible support and resources to those affected by neurological conditions, and these new partnerships are just one example of their dedication.
