Santiago Ribeiro’s Surrealism Now Showcased by ADFP Foundation

Coimbra, Portugal – The highly anticipated International Surrealism Now exhibition, organized by the ADFP Foundation, will be on display from January 15th to February 15th. The exhibition, which has gained worldwide recognition, is the brainchild of Portuguese artist Santiago Ribeiro. Ribeiro has been showcasing his art in various countries, making International Surrealism Now a global phenomenon since its inception in 2010 under the guidance of the Bissaya Barreto Foundation. The event will feature 126 artists from 52 countries, making it a truly diverse and international affair.

The exhibition will take place at the Conimbriga Hotel do Paço, a historic building dating back to the 14th century. The hotel has a rich history of hosting kings and noble members of European society. Despite being destroyed during the French invasions, it was rebuilt in the early 20th century and has been a Pousada de Portugal since 1993. In 2019, it was transformed into a charming 4-star hotel.

The main objective of the exhibition is to promote social solidarity and support the training of individuals with disabilities and mental illnesses. The ADFP Foundation also provides assistance to chronically ill individuals, children, young adults, pregnant women, victims of abuse, refugees, homeless individuals, and the elderly. The foundation is committed to investing in people by creating innovative social responses that foster intergenerational coexistence, integrate individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or ethnic minorities, and promote sustainable local development.

The ADFP Foundation is a civic organization that was founded by citizens, not by a benefactor, donor, company, or state. The board of directors and strategic council members serve on a voluntary, unpaid basis. The foundation is also dedicated to sustainable development and social cohesion in its territory of influence. It strives to create jobs, increase revenue, and defend civilizing values.

The ADFP Foundation is a philanthropic organization that promotes love, well-being, and happiness. It supports the creation of cultural, recreational, and sporting organizations. The exhibition will feature 126 talented artists from 52 countries, including names such as Brigid Marlin from the UK, Farhad Jafari from Iran, and Santiago Ribeiro himself. The full list of artists can be found on the ADFP Foundation’s website.

The International Surrealism Now exhibition will take place at Rua Francisco Lemos, 433150-140 Condeixa-a-Nova, PORTUGAL.
