This exquisite menu offers diners a culinary journey through the vibrant and diverse flavors of Sri Lanka. It will be available alongside the restaurant’s regular a la carte menu and will feature dishes such as Grilled Prawns in Lime and Coconut Salsa served with gotukola, Thali with assorted Curries, and Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Biscuit Pudding.
Executive Chef Sylvia Perera, who was recently named National Chef of the Year at the 2024 Asian Restaurant Awards, is the mastermind behind this unique tasting menu. Her renowned dish, lamprais, also received a prestigious 2-star Great Taste Award from the Guild of Fine Food in 2024. With her coastal upbringing in Negombo, where she would personally select the freshest seafood from local fishermen, Chef Perera brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.
Chef Sylvia shares, “This menu is a tribute to my cherished memories of growing up in Negombo, a town known for its seafood. I have fond memories of buying the freshest catch of the day from local fishermen, an experience we lovingly called ‘Lellama’. This menu reflects my deep understanding of handling seafood delicately and my skill in selecting and preparing the best seafood to perfection.”
