Renowned HR Consultancy Rebrands as KAYA Wellbeing Index Tech Platform

Riddle Box, once a leading HR consultancy, has transitioned into a game-changing tech platform under the new name KAYA Wellbeing Index, aiming to transform how businesses approach employee wellbeing.

Initially founded by Ram Raghavan as a consultancy, KAYA Wellbeing Index now seeks to empower one million individuals over the next two years. The platform equips businesses with essential tools to enhance employee engagement, increase retention, and improve productivity, blending emotional wellbeing measures with performance analytics.

As a prominent player in the HR industry, KAYA Wellbeing Index stands out due to its comprehensive three-fold approach: assessing employee and customer experiences, linking them to performance data, and hosting workshops to address any shortcomings in workplace culture and communication. This practical strategy has already aided companies like Hilton and Volvo in raising employee engagement and improving retention by leveraging KAYA’s data-based insights.

The shift from Riddle Box to KAYA Wellbeing Index followed a personal crisis for founder Ram Raghavan, who lost his consultancy clients after being hospitalised with COVID-19 during the pandemic.

“I lost all my consultancy clients and had no revenue or team,” said Raghavan.

Determined to rise from this challenge, Raghavan returned to his tech roots, teaching himself to code again, and developed the platform that would become KAYA Wellbeing Index. His experience of rebuilding his business while recovering from a serious illness has fuelled his ambition to help others manage their wellbeing and maximise their potential.

In addition to his passion for technology, Raghavan is a prolific author and a respected thought leader. He has authored three books on human capital management, contributed to policy papers for the King’s Fund, and collaborated with over 100 business leaders from multinational corporations. His extensive achievements, along with his role as joint chair of the Institute of Sales Professionals, highlight his deep commitment to enhancing leadership and workplace practices.

KAYA Wellbeing Index brings together Raghavan’s decades of experience and knowledge into a sophisticated platform, offering SMEs the necessary tools to address employee-related challenges just as effectively as large organisations.
