“Proposed Ban on Nando’s and Five Guys’ Drink Policy in UK Region Sparks Controversy in Financial Blogosphere”

The popular fast-food chains Nando’s and Five Guys may soon be facing a potential ban on their drinks policy in certain parts of the UK.

One consumer, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared their unfortunate experience with us. Due to a mere £16 phone bill debt, a default was placed on their credit record, making it difficult for them to obtain a mortgage. They are now seeking advice on how to handle this financial dilemma.

In other news, Spotify has quietly introduced a new plan that could save users up to £24 per year. The “Basic” plan offers a lower monthly cost compared to other subscriptions, ranging from £1-£2 less. However, this plan does not include access to audiobooks, while still providing ad-free listening, downloads, high-quality audio, and podcasts.

Currently, most of Spotify’s Premium plans (excluding Student) include 15 hours of audiobook listening. The prices for these plans are: Individual Premium (£11.99 per month), Family Premium (£19.99 per month), and Duo (£16.99 per month).

For existing Premium subscribers, the new Basic plan offers all the regular perks but without the 15 hours of audiobook listening. The prices for these plans are: Individual Basic (£10.99 per month), Family Basic (£17.99 per month), and Duo Basic (£14.99 per month). Unfortunately, there is no Basic Student plan available at this time, with Student plans remaining at £5.99 per month.

To switch to the Basic plan, users can log into Spotify through a browser (not the app), go to their Profile, then Account, and finally, Subscription and Available plans. From there, they can select the Basic option, choose their plan, and click Update subscription.
