Luton-based UK rap artist POLISH has unveiled his debut album, POLISH’ED, a project 12 years in the making. The independent musician, Jan Paszkowiec, is thrilled to share his first official release after over a decade of dedication to his craft.
This 22-track album combines rap with a gritty, bass-driven underground sound. Packed with raw emotion, explicit lyrics, and experimental energy, POLISH’ED stands as a bold statement in the rap genre.
POLISH is entirely self-taught and handles every element of his music independently. At 45, he reflects on a transformative journey, having left his previous career more than a decade ago to pursue music full-time.
Armed with Logic Pro on his iMac, POLISH creates, writes, and produces all his music solo. His commitment to independence has resulted in a signature style defined by heavy basslines and fearless lyricism, delivering a powerful and unforgettable auditory experience.
Speaking about the album, POLISH remarked: “When I first started out I had no idea what I had to do and it’s not until having to come through so much adversity it makes me more determined.
“What started out as a hobby has turned out to be the best thing I ever did. I have many musical influences that have inspired me which define the dark style of my music.”
POLISH’ED is just the beginning for the artist, who plans to release six albums in total. Two additional albums are set to launch before the end of the year, building on the momentum of his debut.
