Peterborough firm expands with Danish acquisition
Peterborough based agricultural services group AB Agri has acquired the Danish firm AgroKorn for an undisclosed amount.
As part of Associated British Foods, AB Agri is a £1.2 billion animal nutrition and agricultural services business employing more than 3,000 people.
The Danish acquisition aims to bring a a new generation of animal nutrition products. to the Latin American, Southeast Asia and European regions.
David Yiend, CEO of AB Agri, comments: “As a business, and as an industry, we are working hard produce more food for more people using fewer resources. The expertise and capability of the AB Agri team, allied to AgroKorn’s, will accelerate our mission to move agriculture further forward.
Last year AB Agri constructed a new three-story office building to increase the workforce and boost the local Peterborough job market.
The company did not disclose any financial information related to the acquisition, its deemed to be of significant proportion due to the scale and success of Denmark based AgroKorn which was founded in 1994, founder of many successful products such as the notable Alphasoy 530 and 510 have been produced by the firm
