Former Post Office Boss Faces Scrutiny in Horizon Inquiry
After nearly a decade of avoiding public scrutiny, Paula Vennells, the former Post Office boss, is now facing tough questions about her role in what has been called the most widespread miscarriage of justice in British history. Vennells has been giving evidence at the Post Office Horizon Inquiry for the past three days, and today, she was accused by lawyers of speaking “rubbish” and being out of touch with reality.
Sky News’ business correspondent, Paul Kelso, has been closely following the inquiry and spoke with Sky’s Jonathan Samuels about the developments. Meanwhile, in other news, a record number of Conservative MPs have announced that they will not be standing in the upcoming general election in July. Political correspondent Rob Powell joins Jonathan to discuss this and other updates from the election campaigns.
