Open Day organized by The Barn Hub to express gratitude to National Lottery players.

Oxted, Surrey – The Head2Head Sensory Theatre is pleased to announce that they will be celebrating The National Lottery Open Week 2024 by inviting the local community to their new space on Wednesday, March 18, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 5 PM.

The Barn Hub, a community project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund in 2024, has recently completed its refurbishment, which includes a Memory Cafe for people living with Dementia, a kitchen, a Sensory Room, and an interactive projection system.

Founder of Head2Head Sensory Theatre, Anni Rhodes Steere, expressed her excitement about the event, stating, “It’s a mark of our appreciation to open our doors for everyone to come and meet our volunteers, find out more about our productions, and experience our new sensory room and Interactive Magic Carpet.”

This unique community project has already made a positive impact on the lives of Head2Head’s primary beneficiaries: young people with disabilities and adults living with dementia. Through regular drama and drumming workshops, live performances, and a monthly Memory Cafe, the organization has been able to make a difference in their lives.

Guests are welcome to drop in between 9:30 AM and 5 PM to enjoy free refreshments and discover what makes The Barn Hub special, thanks to National Lottery funding. The Barn Hub is one of over 500 National Lottery-funded venues across the UK that will be opening their doors to say thank you to players. Every week, National Lottery players raise an incredible £30 million for Good Causes, supporting arts, heritage, sports, and community projects across the country.

The Barn Hub is a new accessible community space in Oxted, Surrey, perfect for live productions, group and club meetings, health and wellbeing classes, and community events. The spacious, well-lit studio offers staging and a ramp, making it ideal for hosting parties and celebrations. The venue also has a full kitchen and cafe area with tables and chairs, as well as a Sensory Room for quiet sensory exploration. With 11 on-site parking spaces and wheelchair access, complete with a Changing Places Disability Toilet, the venue strives to be inclusive and accessible for all.
