Noztek, a specialist in extrusion equipment, has launched its new Infinity Print Bed Conveyor, a pioneering system set to transform the capabilities of robotic 3D printing.
The innovative conveyor offers both print and eject functions, along with continuous 45-degree angle printing, enabling uninterrupted 24/7 production of thousands of components. It supports the use of advanced materials such as Carbon, Kevlar composites, and other specialised thermoplastics.
Steven Forster of Noztek said: “We are delighted to unveil this innovative new product, which is set to be a game changer for robotic 3D printing.
“Ever since the release of the initial Noztek Pro in 2013, our company has undergone significant growth and established itself as a prominent player in the additive market. This latest product is another example of the way we pride ourselves on being one step ahead of the competition and the leading innovator of cutting-edge extrusion equipment.”
The heated bed of the Infinity Print Bed Conveyor allows multiple components to be printed simultaneously, making full use of the print area. Once a print is complete, the roller rotates by half a turn, efficiently ejecting the finished items and preparing the bed for the next production. This automated process streamlines production and reduces reliance on manual labour.
Additionally, the conveyor functions as an infinity print bed, enabling the creation of extremely long 3D prints. Using a robotic arm to print at a 45-degree angle, the conveyor belt advances by 1 degree per layer, allowing for the production of lengthy components, constrained only by the size of the workspace. By attaching support structures at one end of the conveyor, users can achieve precision in printing extended objects.
Constructed with durability and precision in mind, the roller conveyor features an aluminium subframe and a sturdy 5mm steel support bed. The system incorporates six independently mounted 750w heater panels to ensure consistent heating, while a high-torque stepper motor powers the roller. Integration with the robot’s control panel is achieved through Ethernet/IP connectivity.
With dimensions of 1.5 metres in length and 1 metre in width, this advanced conveyor combines robust engineering with innovative features to meet the demands of modern 3D printing.
