Towcester – The RSD Group, which includes RSD Travel Ltd., is expecting to bring approximately 35,000 guests to North Macedonia this year. This partnership marks North Macedonia as a valuable addition to the RSD travel selection. In recognition of this collaboration, Christian Funk, owner of Funk-Holding, recently met with North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
Horst Zsifkovits, Managing Director of RSD Deutschland/Germany, has personally visited the Balkans and North Macedonia and noted, “Here, visitors will find a touristically not yet overcrowded area with very friendly people. I found the great Orthodox churches with their impressive icons and Ohrid particularly exciting.” The unique program has already received a positive response.
During his visit to his European tourism partner, Prime Minister Mickoski expressed his satisfaction and optimism for increased cooperation with the RSD Group in the coming year. “North Macedonia has many sights to be proud of,” stated Mickoski.
The Prime Minister revealed that starting in February 2025, a plane carrying guests from the RSD Group from Germany, France, and Great Britain will fly to his country on a daily basis. The overnight stay numbers expected from this alone will account for up to 15 percent of the current foreign overnight stay volume. Christian Funk expressed his gratitude for the new opportunities for cooperation and mentioned that RSD Group guests will be traveling to North Macedonia during the off-season, specifically for culturally focused study trips.
As always with RSD, these trips will provide unique holiday experiences with professional tour guidance, top-notch all-round care, and great respect for the cultural diversity and peculiarities of the country visited.
