In an innovative attempt to tackle climate change, Teraform is creating new UK woodlands and giving supporters of this initiative lifetime access to the wooded areas. This is part of a plan to battle climate issues, restore British woodlands and offset CO2 emissions.
Joe Middleditch, Founder & Director of Teraform Ltd, discussed how this plan may help create a brighter, cleaner future. He said: “Our ethos is ‘Planet before Profit’, creating a sustainable greener future for all to enjoy whilst addressing the climate crises by sequestering CO2. We have created a business that is in harmony with our planet and one which operates within our ecological means.”
Every £1 given to the project will reforest a square foot of land within the UK. Once an area of reforestation is complete, the supporter will get a detailed reference of where their money was used.
Mr Middleditch also referenced the timing of this project. He added: “Climate change and the issue of CO2 is the crisis of our time. Reforestation and creation of new woodlands is a key pillar in addressing this threat. Anyone and everyone can make a real impact, if we do nothing it may just cost us everything.”
There are different ways to support Teraform’s reforestation project, with donations of as little as £1 being accepted, as well as monthly subscription plans available. Businesses are also being encouraged to get involved, either by donating themselves, or by including the project in their employee reward systems.
