“New Chair of Trustees, Louie St Claire, Joins Creative Mentor Network”

“Creative Mentor Network announces the appointment of new Chair of Trustees, Louie St Claire, in their efforts to break the class ceiling in the UK creative industries. The charity, which has been working towards this goal for the past 10 years, has also welcomed Jessica Holland as a new trustee.

Louie St Claire brings 25 years of experience in the creative and communications industry, with a focus on technology and media sectors. He has successfully led and built multiple agencies, as well as working in-house for well-known companies like Microsoft and O2. St Claire is a strong advocate for diversity in the industry and is committed to providing equal access to opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds. In his new role, he aims to support Creative Mentor Network’s mission to break down barriers for young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds and introduce them to the various career opportunities available in the creative industry.

St Claire takes over the position from previous Chair Russ Lidstone, who has served in the role for six years. Lidstone expresses his confidence in St Claire’s capabilities and is proud of the progress the charity has made under his leadership. He believes that St Claire’s strategic experience and passion for the cause will contribute greatly to the charity’s future development.

Joining the charity as a trustee alongside St Claire is Jessica Holland, a tech leader with extensive experience in transformation, change, and operations in various sectors. Holland has also been a long-time Trustee for the National House Project, where she has used her leadership and strategic insights to support young people leaving care and help them build sustainable futures. She is a strong believer in the power of mentorship and sponsorship, having experienced its positive impact on her own career. She is committed to ensuring that others have access to the same opportunities that helped her achieve professional success.

Creative Mentor Network, under the leadership of CEO Katie Thomson-Greene, has supported over 2,000 young people in the past decade, working with companies like Amazon Prime Video, Soho House, Sony, and WeTransfer through their mentoring and training programs. Their goal is to create more opportunities for access and development within the creative industries for young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

As the charity embarks on its next phase of development, Creative Mentor Network is also looking for a new Treasurer to join their team of trustees. Interested candidates can visit their website for more information. “
