Manhattan Active® Point of Sale Revolutionises Store Associate Experience with Latest Upgrades

Manhattan Associates Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH) has today announced significant enhancements to its Manhattan Active® Point of Sale (POS) application, tailored to meet the evolving needs of contemporary store associates. The updated store app incorporates embedded clienteling capabilities to boost sales and service, offers ultra-fast checkout, and features the ability to operate offline without the need for an in-store server.

The modern digital-native shopper presents both challenges and opportunities for store associates. In its commitment to ongoing innovation, Manhattan collaborates with customers to ensure store associates are well-equipped to fully utilise their store’s potential. As part of the Manhattan Active Omni suite of unified commerce solutions, the new store app expertly integrates Customer, Catalog, Cart, and Fulfillment elements, empowering store associates to optimise sales and service.

The store app, a component of Manhattan’s cloud-native point of sale, has been revamped to gracefully handle the instability often found in store network connectivity. Prioritising simplicity, the app continuously monitors network connection stability, automatically adjusting to ensure seamless operation despite intermittent disruptions or complete connection loss. The app also retains essential data in-memory on the device for ultra-fast item scanning and checkout processes, maximising in-store sales conversion.

The Manhattan Active store app is compatible with Windows, iOS, and Android and offers complete app extensibility, allowing retailers to tailor the layout and experience to their brand’s unique requirements.
