Recent research conducted by the BBC reveals a startling statistic: a whopping five million disposable vapes are discarded each week, marking a significant fourfold surge compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the study highlights a distressing fact that only 17% of vapers conscientiously recycle their vapes, a situation demanding immediate attention.

Phoenix 2 Retail is set to roll out over 200 recycling units this month, followed by a further 5,000 units by the end of the year, subject to retailer agreements. We aim to reach all 15,000 retailers by the following year, ensuring at least one recycling unit per store. The process for retailers is straightforward: once the recycling units are filled, the waste management company collects them, promptly replacing them with empty units. Every vape collected via these units undergoes recycling right here in the UK, guaranteeing the eco-friendly disposal of each unit. By partnering with an accredited waste management company, Phoenix 2 Retail is adopting a responsible and sustainable approach to vape disposal. This collaboration ensures that all vapes collected through these units are recycled, thereby mitigating the environmental repercussions of non-biodegradable waste.
