The alliance of Neurodiversity Training International, The Big White Coach Events, and Lushlife is proud to present the upcoming Neurodiversity Roadshow. This innovative series of events aims to enrich the sensory experiences of both young and old. Set to visit Derry, Belfast, Dublin, and Monaghan in the coming February and March, the roadshow is centred around the Sensory Coach, a novel concept in sensory engagement.
The initiative, led by Jude Morrow of Neurodiversity Training International, Gail Walker of The Big White Coach Events, and Grace Bigger from Lushlife, addresses the scarcity of sensory-centric activities within Ireland. The Big White Coach stands as a mobile sanctuary, offering sensory experiences for those with unique sensory considerations.
Jude Morrow, known for his dedication to neurodiversity, stressed the event’s importance: “This is an opportunity for families and adults to come together to enjoy positive sensory experiences and for others to witness the potential of inclusive events tailored for Autistic/ADHD kids and adults. As far as sensory activities for the whole family, there aren’t that many and we believe this could be a gamechanger as well as a fun day out.”
The Neurodiversity Roadshow is poised to deliver a wide range of engaging activities. Attendees will be treated to hands-on sensory stations, compelling discussions led by Jude Morrow and Grace Bigger, and a chance to explore the distinct offerings of the Sensory Coach.
Grace Bigger of Lushlife shared her vision for the roadshow: “We believe in the power of inclusive events that cater to the diverse needs of our community. This roadshow is more than just an event; it’s a movement towards creating a more understanding and accommodating society for neurodiverse individuals, their parents, and even professionals who want to see inclusive events.”
The event is accessible to all, with an urging for interested parties to secure their spots quickly due to space constraints. The Sensory Coach will host three specialised sessions at each stop, alongside seminars for parents and families within the conference facilities of the venues. Eventbrite is the platform for ticket purchases for the Derry event at the Waterfoot Hotel on the 10th of February, 2024, The Balmoral Hotel in Belfast on the 17th of February, 2024, and the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan on the 2nd of March, 2024.
