From 19th to 23rd October 2024, at Parc des Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte, the Korean Pavilion, hosted by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), will showcase the latest in Korean agricultural and food products. This year, 76 companies will present products aimed at international buyers seeking health-conscious and sustainable solutions.
The Korean Pavilion will be located in Hall 4 (Stand 4 L120) and Hall 7 (Stand 7 K259), offering a range of traditional and modern Korean food products, from fermented sauces and Kimchi to ready meals, drinks, and vegan options. The wide selection reflects the growing global interest in plant-based, environmentally friendly foods.
The Rise of Korean Food in Europe
Korean cuisine is gaining traction in Europe, renowned for its health benefits and rich flavours. Retail giants such as Carrefour and Monoprix have started stocking Korean food items, and SIAL Paris offers a key platform for showcasing this growing trend. Attendees will have the chance to meet producers, sample products, and build valuable business connections.
With more European consumers adopting plant-based diets, Korean food’s versatility and health benefits have made it a popular choice. The increasing popularity of Korean cuisine goes well beyond Kimchi, as chefs throughout Europe incorporate it into their menus.
Highlighting the Diversity of Korean Cuisine
Ms. Nam Sanghui, Director of aT Center Paris, remarked: “We are excited to reflect the true diversity of Korean products in SIAL Paris 2024. Our goal is to engage with those searching for innovative, health-conscious food options, and the Pavilion is the perfect place to discover the latest trends in Korean cuisine.”
Celebrating its 60th year, SIAL Paris is a landmark event for the global food industry, expecting over 285,000 visitors from more than 200 countries. For Korean companies, it provides a valuable platform to introduce their products to international markets.
