KCOM and Telecom Forge Strategic Partnership

Telecom Acquisitions (TAL) has solidified its position as a major player in the residential broadband supply market with a new wholesale agreement with KCOM, the top broadband provider in Hull, East Yorkshire, and North Lincolnshire. This partnership, announced on Tuesday 5 November, 2024, will allow TAL’s brand, Eclipse Broadband, to offer and support solutions on the expanded KCOM network in certain areas of East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire that have recently been fitted with fibre.

TAL’s CEO, Nigel Barnett, commented on the partnership, saying, “This project has been in the works for some time, and we are thrilled to have a strong working relationship with the KCOM team that has made this exciting opportunity possible. This offering will proudly feature the ‘powered by KCOM’ label and is backed by the combined 4.4 Trust Pilot Rating of ‘Excellent’ from over 15,000 customer reviews.”

This agreement further solidifies TAL Group’s presence in the Hull, East Yorkshire, and North Lincolnshire area, following their acquisition of established bases from ISPs Open Fibre, Link Broadband, Infinics Broadband, and Zybre. In the last twelve months alone, TAL’s customer bases across all its brands have tripled in size, showcasing their successful growth in the market.

TAL’s success is attributed to their comprehensive range of services offered to residential customers, which can be easily accessed through their nationwide postcode checker. This online tool quickly determines which network services are available for a specific property from the UK’s leading network suppliers.

Jan Collins, Managing Director of KCOM Enterprise, stated, “KCOM’s full fibre network powers thousands of homes and businesses across Hull, East Yorkshire, and North Lincolnshire. This new partnership with TAL means that even more customers in our expansion areas can experience the benefits of our fast, secure, and reliable network through the Eclipse broadband brand.”

TAL, which operates under various brands such as Eclipse Broadband, Home Telecom, and Fleur Telecom, now has residential partnership deals with CityFibre, FullFibre, MS3, Freedom Fibre, and F&W Networks, in addition to traditional services offered by TalkTalk, BT, Vodafone, Virgin, and Sky.

KCOM, based in East Yorkshire, is a leading provider of communications and IT services in the region, connecting customers and empowering local communities.

Both TAL and KCOM are eagerly anticipating the start of their partnership on November 19th, 2024.
