“Join us in Giving Back: Support a Local Charity Today!”

The Chilterns Neuro Centre, a local health charity, is urgently seeking compassionate volunteers to join their team during this year’s Volunteers’ Week. The centre, located in Wendover, provides essential services for individuals affected by MS, Parkinson’s, and strokes, as well as their carers and families. These services aim to improve the quality of life for those living with these challenging conditions.

For nearly four decades, the Chilterns Neuro Centre has been a lifeline for many, offering crucial support and therapies. However, with the increase in demand for their services, the charity is in need of more volunteers to continue their valuable work.

Cathy Garner, Volunteer Coordinator at the Chilterns Neuro Centre, expressed the importance of volunteers for the charity, stating, “Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization and play a vital role in supporting our members. Without their dedication, we would not be able to provide the life-changing services that we do for so many people.”

The charity offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, including working at reception, welcoming visitors to the centre, serving in the café, and running therapeutic leisure groups. They are particularly seeking volunteers to support their oxygen therapy service and fundraising team.

Volunteering with the Chilterns Neuro Centre is a rewarding experience that allows individuals to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by neurological conditions. Volunteers also have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, meet new people, and become part of a supportive and caring community.

If you have a few hours to spare each week and are looking to contribute to a cause that makes a significant difference, the Chilterns Neuro Centre welcomes you to join their team. To learn more about their volunteer opportunities, please contact the centre at 01296 696133 or email info@chilternsneurocentre.org.
