Iver Heath, South Bucks – The Iver Heath Drama Club is proud to announce the opening weekend of their highly anticipated 2025 pantomime, “Robinson Crusoe Vs The Pirates.” The family-friendly production will take place this Saturday and Sunday at the Iver Heath Village Hall, near Slough and Uxbridge.
The Iver Heath Drama Club, a not-for-profit community group founded in 1947, is known for providing accessible and affordable entertainment for all audiences. Ticket prices start at just £7, making it a perfect outing for families and individuals alike. The club has also launched a special offer for Blue Badge and Access Card holders; for just £10, the holder and their carer or guest can attend the show, making local amateur dramatics more inclusive.
“We are thrilled to bring this year’s pantomime to life and we hope the community will come out in full support,” said Kaia Barton, 23, the show’s director from Britwell in Slough. “The club relies on ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations, so every ticket makes a big difference in helping us keep the arts alive in Iver Heath.”
“Robinson Crusoe Vs The Pirates” promises to be a swashbuckling adventure filled with fun, romance, and a pirate mutiny. The production is suitable for all ages and celebrates community theatre with its stunning songs and costumes. It captures the charm and magic that makes village pantomime a beloved tradition.
“Our goal is to make our shows as affordable, inclusive, and accessible as possible, which is why we are pleased to offer a £10 deal for Blue Badge and Access Card holders in the local area,” said Matt Streuli, Chair of IHDC. The offer, available through their box office at www.ticketsource.co.uk/ihdc, includes admission for the holder and their carer or guest. Matt also hinted at some surprises in store for the audience.
The Iver Heath Drama Club has been performing at the Iver Heath Village Hall since its construction in 1965 and actively supports the village hall charity. Proceeds from the pantomime will go towards funding their 2025 summer show and future productions. The club is a cherished local institution that provides a creative outlet for people of all ages.
