Last Updated on: 22nd November 2023, 07:07 am

Inspired Thinking Group (ITG) has partnered with Peace One Day to promote the capabilities of artificial intelligence through the AI to Peace programme, aimed at building a more peaceful and sustainable world.

Coinciding with World Creativity and Innovation Day, ITG and Peace One Day welcomed a plethora of industry thought leaders to the AI for Peace event – including experts from the United Nations and UNESCO – to discuss the potential of AI as a contributor to both humanity’s destruction and humanity’s survival.

The event included a series of panel discussions, interviews and speeches examining a number of different topics, such as whether AI makes life safer and more efficient, if it exacerbates pre-existing societal issues, as well as the future of technological growth.

The opening address saw Inspired Thinking Group’s Simon Ward interviewing Ms Gabriela Ramos of UNESCO, followed by Jeremy Gilley MBE, AI to Peace Producer and Director interviewing Simon Ward.

Simon Ward, CEO of Inspired Thinking Group, said: “Achieving worldwide peace requires a universal concerted effort from Government, policy makers, industry and communities, and I’m delighted that ITG can play a leading role in this through our partnership with Peace One Day. The goals and ethos of Peace One Day chime perfectly with our deeply ingrained culture and values at ITG, and it’s a collaboration with a huge amount of potential moving forward.

“Through our Storyteq marketing technology platform, we understand the capability of AI and automation to empower human activity, and we know that these innovations will play a central role in any efforts to establish lasting change on a worldwide scale.”

Jeremy Gilley MBE, AI to Peace Producer and Director, said: “I am inspired and honoured to be producing with Simon Ward, AI to Peace in association with ITG on World Creativity and Innovation Day. If we want to have Peace One Day, AI will play a crucial role in that journey, and that’s what this experience is all about.”

Peace One Day is committed to raising awareness for Peace Day, celebrated annually on the 21st of September. It aims to reduce violence, including in the cyber space, and share free education resources with schools in all 193 UN member states.
