“IONITY Announces Reduced Prices and Personalized Tariffs for Faster Charging at Lower Cost”

IONITY Makes High Power Charging Affordable for Everyone Across Europe

Munich, Germany – On Monday, May 27, 2024, IONITY announced that it is now offering High Power Charging (HPC) at competitive prices, starting at just 0,26 EUR per kilowatt hour (kWh). The leading pan-European HPC network for electric vehicles (EVs) of all brands is introducing country-specific tariffs to cater to its customers’ charging needs.

In addition to lowering IONITY DIRECT charging prices in 12 European countries, IONITY is also introducing two new tariff plans: IONITY PASSPORT MOTION and IONITY PASSPORT POWER. These new plans offer flexible terms tailored to customers’ varying mileage, with prices as low as 0,26 EUR per kWh depending on the country and the tariff.

The new PASSPORT tariffs are designed to provide cost-efficient, ultra-fast charging options for both long-distance business and leisure trips across Europe, as well as for daily use. IONITY PASSPORT MOTION is ideal for users driving around 150 km per month, while IONITY PASSPORT POWER is suitable for those who drive more than 300 km per month or charge their EV’s batteries around three times per month.

Both tariffs offer flexible terms and allow IONITY customers to switch plans based on their situation and needs, making it the perfect solution for holiday or business trips. Customers can easily subscribe to the tariffs through the IONITY APP and can terminate their subscription with just one month’s notice. As an added bonus, customers who sign up now will receive a discounted basic fee for the first month.

With 630 charging parks, 3,800 charging points, and a 24/7 multilingual hotline, IONITY is committed to making high power charging convenient and accessible for all EV drivers. Their ultra-fast charging of up to 350 kW can provide up to 100 km of range in just four minutes, depending on the EV’s charging power. IONITY also sources 100% certified green electricity, promoting emission-free and carbon-neutral driving.

Founded in 2017, IONITY is a joint venture of the car manufacturers BMW Group, Ford Motor Company, Hyundai Motor Group, Mercedes Benz AG, and Volkswagen Group with Audi and Porsche, along with BlackRock’s Climate Infrastructure Platform as a financial investor. The company is headquartered in Munich, Germany, with additional offices in Dortmund and Oslo, Norway. IONITY is an internationally registered trademark.
