The STRONGTEX range is made from exceptionally strong fabric that hinders the wearer’s ability to create a long enough piece of ligature to attach to an anchor point or swallow. This is crucial in preventing self-harm or suicides of individuals placed in seclusion in healthcare or custodial settings.
All STRONGTEX garments are washable at 71C (160F), fire-retardant, durable, sturdy, anti-tear, and have been rigorously tested against international standards, including ISO 13937, which assesses the tear properties of fabrics.
BitePRO has plans to add more options to personalize their garments in the future, such as introducing new fabric colors or amending the garment design. The company also plans to add anti-ligature bedding to the range in autumn/winter 2024.
