Bridge India and LID Publishing have announced their collaboration to launch a new book imprint focused on developing and publishing books about India. The imprint is set to release its first books in Spring 2025 and is currently seeking authors and projects to be a part of this endeavor.
In light of India’s growing presence and impact on the global economy and society, the imprint aims to provide a timely and informative source of knowledge about modern-day India. With a broad range of non-fiction books on various topics such as business, society, history, culture, and lifestyle, the imprint will accurately reflect the complexity and diversity of India today.
Bridge India, a progressive non-profit think tank based in London, is dedicated to promoting discourse on public policy and fostering a better understanding of India. Speaking on the collaboration, founder Pratik Dattani states, “India’s growing stature as a global economic and cultural power presents a wealth of stories waiting to be told. As a country with such diversity, it is possible for the complete opposite to be true at the same time. We are excited to work with LID Publishing to bring this nuance and complexity to a global audience.”
LID Publishing, an award-winning international publishing company based in London, specializes in non-fiction publications. The company has existing partnerships with prestigious institutions such as the London School of Economics and Duke University. COO and Publisher Martin Liu shares, “Through this partnership with Bridge India, we hope to bring valuable and engaging books about India and its authors to the international stage. By combining Bridge India’s extensive knowledge and network with LID’s publishing services and experience, we are confident in our ability to develop books and authors that will contribute to a better understanding of India worldwide.”
An editorial board has been established for the imprint to guide the overall editorial strategy and select book projects to undertake. The board is comprised of Pratik Dattani, Martin Liu, and Sangeeta Waldron.
