Interpretation Service Renames Ahead of International Expansion

Last Updated on: 22nd November 2023, 08:04 am

This demand for interpretation services has soared in recent years, with successful companies carving out market niches for themselves in virtually every country throughout the globe.

One such company was TVCN (Tolk-en Vertaalcentrum Nederland). Until recently, it was listed as the market leader in interpretation services in the Netherlands.

However, TVGN has made the move to change its name. It has also sighted now as the ideal time to expand and become a more globally recognised entity.

The forty-four-year-old company has renamed themselves Global Talk and as of now, it has also become active in both Belgium and Sweden.

This move into Sweden involved a takeover of interpretation agency Tolkresurs, which now also fits under the Global Talk moniker.

Last year, Global Talk was listed as one of the world’s fastest growing language service providers and it is hoped that this move will help it continue that expansion.

Astrid van Rossum, who is the General Manager of the company, discussed this. She said: “With this new owner and a new name, we are embarking on a path of international growth, and investing more in technology that is becoming increasingly important in our industry.

“At the same time, we will invest in further developing and specializing our professional interpreters, whose role we believe is indispensable in the often complex situations which require the navigation of both linguistic and cultural nuances.”

Global Talk provide a variety of interpretation services, varying from public sector work, which includes interpretations in hospitals and courts, to private sector clients who use them for their business needs.
