HSAT, a crop intelligence leader, has appointed Peter White as Senior Advisor to aid in the development and implementation of its ambitious product and growth strategies.

Peter brings with him over 30 years of experience in technology, data, and AI/ML, having held key positions at organisations such as HSBC, Goldman Sachs, and KPMG.

His career began at UBS, and he later moved to Goldman Sachs, where he worked as an electronic trading quant, developing models to automate asset pricing and risk management in high-frequency trading environments.

Most recently, Peter was Director of Analytics at HSBC, where he managed cross-functional teams of data engineers, scientists, and technologists to leverage large-scale data for improved business performance. Prior to this, he was a senior manager at KPMG, applying AI to detect trade risks.

Peter will use his extensive experience to support HSAT’s product strategy and scale its operations to meet increasing demand for predictive models. His key areas of focus will include HSAT’s CropGPT platform and initiatives like automating data pipelines and ensuring model, data, and code assurance.

Rob Weston, HSAT’s founder, said: “Peter’s addition to the team will provide a valuable additional source of strategic and practical advice to ensure that our growth is built on a solid technology foundation. Having already supported HSAT informally since its founding, Peter will hit the ground running in this new role.”
