HITEC, a prominent organisation in the tech industry, has unveiled the list of the 100 most influential Hispanic technology leaders for 2024, aptly named the HITEC 100. You can access the complete HITEC 100 list here.
Each year, HITEC takes the opportunity to acknowledge the remarkable accomplishments and contributions of the foremost US-based Hispanic technology executives. The goal is to not only celebrate their impactful leadership but also to inspire others aspiring to forge their paths in the world of technology. HITEC envisions propelling the influence and effect of Hispanic technology leaders, fostering lasting equity from the educational sphere to the corporate boardroom.
Alvaro Celis, HITEC Board Member and Chair of the Awards Committee, shared his admiration for the achievements of these Latinx tech luminaries, stating, “I continue to be inspired by the impact and achievements of these Latinx tech leaders. The esteemed recipients of the 2024 HITEC 100 Awards encompass a distinguished group of Hispanic leaders hailing from global Fortune 100 enterprises. The roster includes CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and leaders representing various technology domains. Of note, 49 percent of this year’s awardees are Latinas, and the recipients originate from 19 distinct countries spanning Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. This diverse group represents leaders from 63 different companies, with 36 percent being honored with the HITEC 100 Award for the first time.
Rosa Ramos-Kwok, Chair of the HITEC Board, expressed immense pride in witnessing the accomplishments of Hispanic Technology Executives who are driving innovation and change within their organisations. She noted, “The HITEC 100 recipients are ‘el orgullo’ of our community!”
Nominations for the HITEC 100 are garnered from HITEC members, partners, and the general public. Awardees are evaluated based on the scope and impact of their work, their contributions to the technology field, their leadership roles within the dynamic global tech landscape, and their dedication to mentoring and cultivating the next generation of Hispanic technology leaders.
The HITEC 100 will be honored at the HITEC 100 & Corporate Awards Gala, scheduled for Tuesday, October 3, 2023. This gala is part of the HITEC Fall Leadership Summit, hosted by KPMG in Lake Nona, Florida.
