The Hispanic Technology Executive Council (HITEC) is proud to announce the induction of Yamila Harris, Global Head of IT Support and User Experience at Munich Re, and Jesus Mantas, Global Managing Partner at IBM, into the HITEC Hall of Fame for 2024.
“Jesus and Yamila are exceptional leaders and it’s an honour to welcome them to the HITEC Hall of Fame. Their visionary leadership and tireless efforts have not only propelled technological advancements but have also inspired countless individuals in our community. This honour reflects their outstanding achievements and unwavering commitment to excellence, including our HITEC Mission and Vision,” stated Rosa Ramos-Kwok, Chair of HITEC.
The induction ceremony will be held on 24th October during the HITEC Awards Gala, part of the HITEC Autumn Leadership Summit, hosted by Capital One in McLean, Virginia.
Harris has been a loyal member of HITEC since 2015, showcasing her dedication to the organisation and its mission. She was recognised as the HITEC Member of the Year in 2021 and has been featured in the prestigious HITEC 100 list for several years, from 2016, and consecutively from 2018 to 2024. This accolade recognises Hispanic technology professionals who advocate for careers in technology and serve as an inspiration to others. Additionally, Harris served as Co-Chair of the HITEC Advisory Board from 2018 to 2020, and currently holds a seat on the HITEC Board of Directors. Her leadership, active participation in events, and contributions to committees and initiatives demonstrate her significant impact on the HITEC community.
Jesus Mantas, known for his outstanding career in the technology field, has a proven history of nurturing innovation. He has served on the HITEC Board of Directors since 2021 and has been a staunch advocate of the organisation’s mission, playing a key role in leading its strategic efforts. Mantas led the 2022 Autumn Leadership Summit, hosted by IBM, and has been recognised with the HITEC 100 award each year from 2019 to 2023. In 2022, he was awarded the prestigious Estrella Award, honouring his leadership, integrity, and dedication to advancing technology.
