First Imagine invests high seven-figures in PIONIERKRAFT during Series A funding round for climate technology.

Munich-based energy start-up, PIONIERKRAFT, has successfully raised a high seven-figure amount in its Series A financing round. The round was led by First Imagine!, a prominent European venture capital firm that focuses on investing in innovative solutions for a sustainable future. The funds raised in this round will enable PIONIERKRAFT to expand its energy-sharing solution for apartment buildings.

PIONIERKRAFT was founded in 2019 with a vision to pave the way for the energy transition in small and medium-sized apartment buildings. CEO Andreas Eberhardt explains, “This funding will help us scale our network of partners and ramp up mass production of our energy-sharing solution.” The company is committed to driving the renewable energy transition and is excited to have the support of First Imagine! in achieving this goal.

“We are thrilled to partner with PIONIERKRAFT and support their growth potential,” says Alexander Starchenko, Managing Partner of First Imagine!. He also notes that the partnership will allow them to address the large sector of multi-tenant buildings in Germany that has been excluded from rooftop solar installations.

In addition to the financial support, the investment will also aid in the launch of PIONIERKRAFTwerk 3.0. This next-generation solution sets new benchmarks in performance and ease of use, making it even more attractive to landlords and encouraging the decarbonization of Germany’s apartment buildings.

PIONIERKRAFT has also announced the addition of Hartmut Michels, CEO of standata GmbH, to its advisory board. Michels’ extensive experience in the housing and energy sector will be instrumental in supporting the company’s growth and rollout of PIONIERKRAFTwerk. “The PIONIERKRAFTwerk is a big step towards the Home Energy Management System,” says Michels.

The Series A financing round was supported by Quantum Partners, a Munich-based M&A consultancy specializing in corporate finance and growth capital.
