Patients Association to Hold Webinar on Challenges Faced by People with Long-Term Health Conditions
London, 8th May 2024: The Patients Association, an independent patient charity, is set to hold a webinar on Tuesday 21st May 9-10am following the release of Future Health’s report, The Forgotten Majority.
The purpose of this important campaign is to raise awareness among policy representatives from the Government, political parties, and other key stakeholders about the everyday challenges faced by individuals with long-term health conditions. The webinar aims to advocate for meaningful policy change in the lead up to the General Election.
The webinar will feature patient experiences, bringing to light the gaps in care that individuals with long-term health conditions face. It is hoped that this will raise awareness among policymakers and key stakeholders about the urgent need for improved treatment and care for the “forgotten majority.”
Rachel Power, Chief Executive of the Patients Association, will be chairing the webinar, which is free and open to anyone interested in healthcare policy. The panel will share their insights on the importance of addressing the needs of people with long-term health conditions and advocate for improved care and support services.
This webinar is expected to increase awareness and understanding among policymakers and key stakeholders about the challenges faced by individuals with long-term health conditions and drive systemic change.
The webinar, titled “Untold Patient Stories,” is being funded by Abbvie, but the company has had no influence in the project or the development of any associated materials.
