In the heart of the festive season, Davpack, the UK’s leading packaging supplier, has set out to uncover the country’s most enthusiastic online Christmas shoppers.
Are you a digital shopping virtuoso, orchestrating your online purchases with precision, or do you favour the tactile experience of high-street shopping? Regardless, the role of sturdy, reliable cardboard boxes in ensuring the safe arrival of your Christmas gifts, beautifully wrapped and ready for the festive morning, cannot be overstated.
But who in the UK embraces online shopping with the most gusto? Davpack’s recent survey, engaging over 600 individuals, sought to determine the UK regions where online Christmas shopping is most prevalent. The findings reveal fascinating insights into the regions where online festive shopping is at its peak.
At the forefront are the East of England’s residents, who lead the UK in embracing the online shopping trend, with an average of 30 online orders in anticipation of Christmas. This data not only underscores the move towards online convenience but also places the East of England at the pinnacle of the UK’s online shopping regions.
Moving down to the South, the scenario changes. The survey suggests that those in the South East are more reserved in their online gift shopping, averaging 15 online orders throughout the holiday season. While still substantial, it’s notably half of the East of England’s average.
But the most striking observation comes from London. The capital’s residents seem to hold a preference for physical shopping experiences, as evidenced by the lowest average of online orders – just 14 per person during the Christmas season.
