Eastbourne will be buzzing with excitement this October 14-15th when WynterCon X, the Comic-Con with a twist, takes over the town’s Winter Garden. Chris Barrie, Colin Baker, Ross Mullan, Clive Mantle, Sandeep Mohan, Carla Mendonça and Jon Campling are among the celebrity guests that will be in attendance.
Visitors will be able to admire full-size replicas of the iconic Ghostbusters vehicle, Ecto-1, and Johnny (number) 5 from the classic 1986 movie, ‘Short Circuit’, as well as a plethora of handcrafted replica props from the movie ‘The Labyrinth’ and two animatronic baby dragons measuring two metres long.
The Cosplay Hall, made possible by the philanthropic local broadband provider Lightning Fibre, will offer a plethora of displays, photo opportunities, a stage area and an adjudicated competition with prizes for the respective winners. Meanwhile, the Worksop Hall, in partnership with Sky Creative Sussex and WynterCon’s Charity Partner, will showcase educational workshop tasters based around the charity values.
The trade floor will be the go-to spot for fans looking for all sorts of goodies, including toys, homewares, sweets and treats, prop weapons, table top gaming and accessories and jewellery.
