Vienna, Austria – The highly anticipated opening of the Imperial Riding School, Autograph Collection is set for May of this year in the third district of Vienna. This marks the first Autograph Collection hotel in Austria and promises to combine the city’s rich history with a modern twist.
The hotel, formerly an imperial military riding school, has been completely redesigned to offer 342 elegant guestrooms, a 450m² wellness area, and a picturesque garden. The new design concept is inspired by equestrian elegance and pays homage to the hotel’s past. Guests will also have access to the hotel’s exquisite Elstar restaurant and sleek bar, The Farrier.
The Imperial Riding School has been an iconic part of Vienna’s cultural landscape for years and holds a special place in the hearts of locals. Its location in the vibrant artists’ quarter adds to its charm and unique identity. General Manager Jürgen Fleischhacker states, “Our hotel concept reflects the diversity and liveliness of the neighborhood. The combination of formality with a touch of eccentricity, elegance with unconventional charm, and the Viennese spirit creates an atmosphere where guests can feel at home.”
The hotel’s private garden, once the site of the Palais Harrach’s orchards, is now Vienna’s largest inner-city green oasis. The restaurant and outdoor bar make it the perfect spot for guests and locals to gather and enjoy the serene surroundings. Director of Sales and Marketing Armand Thelen adds, “Imperial Riding School, Autograph Collection tells a story of Vienna that has yet to be told, bringing new life to this magical location. The elegant ambiance is a testament to the building’s royal history, love for horses and horsemanship, and the natural beauty of the garden. The artistic vibe of the surrounding district adds to the charm, but there is also room for guests to create their own story.”
For business travelers, the hotel also offers well-equipped meeting rooms for workshops and conferences, accommodating up to 375 people. Its convenient location allows for easy access to both the city center and the airport via public transportation.
