Contracting workforce EU referendum survey

Just under half of all contractors and freelance workers have stated they wish to remain in the EU, with 64% worried that a Brexit will have a negative impact of their job prospects and the countries financial stability.

The research carried out by insurance specialist KingsBridge surveyed 25,000 of their clients which include contractors, freelancers, and self-employed workers across the nation.

Just under 2 million contractors and freelancers are a vital workforce providing vital growth for the UK economy.

Whilst the gap between the remain and leave camps seems significant, the undecided 12% could swing the vote one way or the other. Regardless of the outcome, it’s clear that contractors have great confidence in their skills and will remain in demand whether the UK is ‘In’ or ‘Out’
