EMMS International, a well-known international healthcare charity headquartered in Edinburgh, has recently launched its much-anticipated ‘Pathways to Peace’ campaign. The campaign aims to provide healthcare and support to individuals facing health inequalities in Malawi, India, Nepal, Rwanda, Zambia, and Scotland.
The campaign features inspiring stories of individuals whose lives have been transformed through the charity’s work. One such story is that of Aaditya, a young man who suffered a spinal injury and was given the necessary medical care and emotional support at Green Pastures Hospital in Pokhara, Nepal, thanks to EMMS International’s intervention. Another story is that of Andriya, a young woman from Raxaul, where poverty is prevalent. After the death of her father, Andriya was given the opportunity to train as an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife at The Duncan Hospital in Bihar, India, allowing her to support her family and community while pursuing her dreams. Lastly, Frank, an older person in Scotland, has been able to overcome his mobility challenges through music sessions and well-being lunches near his home, thanks to EMMS International’s support.
These stories are a testament to EMMS International’s unwavering commitment to improving health and providing compassionate care around the world.
