Elgin, a solar and storage energy platform, has purchased Amberside Energy (Development) Ltd from Amberside Energy Ltd, acquiring over 1GW of solar and battery storage projects as part of the deal.
Through this agreement, Elgin has gained 100% ownership of Amberside Energy (Development) Ltd, securing its share capital entirely.
The acquisition is set to create strong synergies that will support the faster deployment of renewable energy assets in the UK. These developments will enhance the supply of dependable and cost-effective energy while driving progress in reducing carbon emissions.
Amberside Energy’s ongoing operations will continue to concentrate on delivering software solutions and asset management services to developers.
“This is a great strategic acquisition to grow our pipeline across the UK,” said Ronan Kilduff, CEO of Elgin.
“This strategic sale allows Amberside Energy to sharpen its focus on our core competencies – creating advanced software and data analytics solutions for project development and operational asset management. By doing so, we can extend our reach and deliver these solutions to a broader market beyond our internal operations,” stated Marc Scambler, Co-Founder and CEO of Amberside Energy.
