Ministry of Health Partners with Virtual Health Hospital to Provide Virtual Healthcare Services for Hajj Pilgrims
Riyadh, 11 June 2024 – The Ministry of Health has announced its partnership with the Virtual Health Hospital to provide virtual healthcare services for pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season, 1445 AH. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s dedication to utilizing cutting-edge medical technologies to meet the needs and requirements of pilgrims at the Holy Kaaba, in alignment with global quality standards.
The Ministry confirmed that the Virtual Health Hospital is fully equipped and prepared to offer specialized medical teams working around the clock in various key service areas. These services include remote stroke treatment, remote critical care, remote monitoring of cardiac patients through wearable devices, remote radiology reporting aided by artificial intelligence, and specialized consultations for healthcare facilities. Additionally, the hospital provides virtual support services for medical emergencies and disasters.
Furthermore, the Ministry stated that the hospital extends its support and assistance to all associated healthcare facilities in Medina and Mecca, as well as at King Khalid International Airport in Jeddah. These services can be accessed through the unified number 937 or through the health application.
The Ministry emphasized the efficiency and effectiveness of the hospital’s modern technologies in providing timely and accurate medical interventions, diagnoses, and necessary therapeutic services. This is in line with the Ministry’s commitment to utilizing the latest medical technologies to enhance performance and improve the quality of healthcare facilities, ultimately benefiting the pilgrims of the Holy Kaaba and achieving the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
